Advans Myanmar, currently in its pre-operation stage, is seeking for a reliable Logistics Manager who will participate into the launch of the company’s activities in Myanmar. The objective of the position is to supervise the logistics activities so as to enhance a timely start of the operations and an efficient business development. The Logistics Manager will report to the Company General Management. Main tasks include, but are not limited to: S/he will be responsible for the Company’s overall logistics aspects, including; - Premises: o Help Management to search and identify the Company’s offices (Head office and Branches in Mandalay and Sagaing Region); o Negotiate the lease agreements; o Supervise the renovation works and overall set-up of the Offices, meeting with budget and deadlines; o Supervise the suppliers’ selection process for office works (offers, selection, negotiation…); o Supervise the maintenance of the company’s premises; - Procurement Process o Supervise the overall purchases of the company and direct, optimize and coordinate the full procurement cycle; o Liaise and negotiate with suppliers; o Resolve any arising problems or complaints; - Stock Management o Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency - Management & Planning duties: o Recruit and train the logistics team; o Supervise, coach and increase skills of the logistics team; o Strategically plan and manage logistics activities of the company; o Participate into the design of the logistics company’s policies and procedures, together with Management; o Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets; o Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements; o Comply with laws, regulations;

Position Requirements

Required Skills & Competencies - Knowledge of Mandalay and of Myanmar contract laws and practices; - Proficiency in negotiation with third parties (suppliers, contractors…); - Proficiency in budgeting and budget follow up; - Experience in work follow-up (respect of delays, quality of deliverables…); - Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff; - Proficiency in computer MS Word and Excel for preparation and analysis of offers; - Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills; - Effective speaking & written communication skills with practical ability to prepare official reports, proposals, policies and procedures; - Very good command of English (written and oral); - Ability to work or a start-up company, under pressure and multitask; Education & Professional experience - BS in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain; - 3 to 4 years’ experience as a logistics manager; - Knowledge of Microfinance/banking/financial sector an asset.
