Job Description

The Business Development Director (the director) directs the business development activities of the organization and drives the new sales business for the company playing key role in the company’s bottom line. The role will be responsible for BiM’s all business or one of units within the organization with more commitment to important business units. The successful candidate will be working with our Leadership team to meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives.

The director responsibilities include developing key growth sales strategies , tactics and action plans . Successful execution of these strategies is required to achieve your financial targets. The director duties include hitting annual targets , building relationships and understanding customer trends.

Duties of the Business Development Director include:

  • Responsible for the overall management of all strategic and operational Marketing and Customer Relationship activities.
  • Responsible for heading up expansion in new markets as well as continued expansion among existing clients. Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
  • Building relationships with existing clients in an attempt to increase their current spend
  • Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization
  • Provide market feedback to the company leadership regarding competitive offerings, prospect needs and generate product development ideas.
  • Take ownership of the management of the sales and marketing functions of the business.
  • Drive increased revenue and profit to achieve the Company`s ambitious growth.
  • Working to stringent targets, the job holder will be required to adopt a professional and knowledgeable approach to each new business call.
  • Planning and coordinating the implementation of business plans and the penetration of new markets.
  • Keeping a close eye on the sales activities of competitors and utilizing ideas where appropriate
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential

Position Requirements

  • Proven sales executive experience , meeting or exceeding targets (over 7 years)
  • Proven track record of increasing revenue through generation of leads
  • Previous experience as a sales executive, sales manager or sales and marketing director. Preferably in the IT or Retails (B2B, B2C) or Media or Advertising market
  • Experience in working with senior management to align sales strategies and solutions
  • Must have experience of working in a corporate/business focused environment
  • Excellent negotiation skills, proven track record of successfully pitching for new business
  • Ability to communicate , present and influence all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of the different Services
  • Proven ability to position Services or products against competitors
  • Excellent listening , negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
