Job Description

Principal Accountabilities:

Operational /Business Accountabilities:

  • Business KPIs - Achieve area level sales, market share and availability targets.
  • Trade marketing - Deliver effective & efficient trade coverage (TM) via trade marking force to achieve cycle objectives.
  • Distribution - Effective deployment of sales force to deliver quantitative and qualitative distribution objectives. (As per DMM)
  • Brand - Execution, monitoring and delivery of national brand & portfolio plans for the assigned routes
  • Planning – Planning daily route wise coverage, brand / POSM, activation activity.
  • Information - Maintain efficiency and accuracy in management of own and competition information from the market to facilitate timely communication (Market, Finance, regulatory, macroeconomics)
  • Control - Keep track / enforcement of the inventory, merchandising and consumer engagement resources, BAT policy / guidelines at route level
  • Reports - Support area level decision making by providing timely input on offtake, forecasts, execution effectiveness, corrective recommendations.
  • 3rd Party management - Management of 3rd party marketing resources assigned to the route (Consumer engagement, research resources)

Leadership Accountabilities:

  • Establish strong relationship with the trade members giving special attention to the preferred groups i.e. Key accounts, Trade organisations and wholesalers to get meaningful insight from the market
  • Build effective working relationship with internal and external stakeholder groups to ensure delivery of area business objectives.
  • Proactively train and manage personal growth / development of distribution & trade marketing staff within the allocated routes.
  • Support effective team-working in the area across all sub functions.
  • Build a strong team for effective cycle execution.

Position Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Experience requirement:

Education:

Any Graduate or Bachelor’s Degree

Experience:

1-2 years’ experience in supervisory or senior sales capacity in a leading local / MNC FMCG company.
