Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To manage all tax related matters of the company effectively and proactively.

 ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Responsible to manage all tax related matters of the company proactively and effectively to support management, prepare tax reports, etc.
  • Train and develop the team members to implement processes and carry out responsibilities.
  • Ensure Compliance with all local tax laws and regulation including income tax, withholding tax and commercial tax.
  • Monitors development in proposed laws, regulations and advises management of impact on the changes in tax laws.
  • Work closely with external auditors and tax counsels to ensure adequate recommendations are obtained when necessary.
  • Responsible to liaise closely with tax offices to deal on the tax assessments, queries and audits.

Position Requirements

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or related professional accounting qualification
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting
  • Experience in tax compliance and advisory in tax firm will be an added advantage
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Myanmar language
  • Excellent problem solving, organizational and time management skills.
