Job Description

  • Performs all housekeeping duties as per hotel’s standards
  • Provides and maintains the quality of the hotel’s housekeeping services at all times
  • Maintains and cleans guest rooms as per Hotel standards
  • Ensures that immediate feedback/service is given to the guests upon any request
  • Inspects the trolley and ensures the condition of all the supplies for the day
  • Inspects the room following the morning report and prepares the early morning reports (i.e. rooms which are needed by the Front office for early arrival)
  • Always checks that guests’rooms are vacant before entering
  • Reports to the executive housekeeper for any missing articles, broken or damaged furniture, light, leaking faucet, blocked drain etc.
  • Never touches guests’ property, does not change the position of his / her belongings but puts them in order
  • Never uses or answers a guest’s room telephone
  • Gives every left item found in the rooms to the floor supervisor in order to be returned (if the guest has left, the item must be given to the Lost & Found section)
  • Does not provide room access to anybody; if needs assistance he/she must always call reception and speak to the manager on duty or his/her supervisor
  • Never uses guest towels to wash or dry the bathroom walls, mirror or floor etc. and only uses the clothes specifically assigned for this purpose
  • Ensures that no items are taken out of the hotel without the agreement of the Executive Housekeeper
  • Ensures that all equipment used during work is kept clean and in good working condition
  • Before leaving the hotel, gives floor master keys and reports to the housekeeping clerk and signs in / out with his/her full name
  • Attends training sessions as required
  • Communicates with Floor supervisor and Mini bar attendants
  • Maintains trolley and vacuum cleaners in a goodcondition
  • Ensures thatthe stock of guest supplies is sufficient
  • Controls and makes inventory of the supplies
  • Fills up the supplies used report with all the items used in each room (per guest per day

Position Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • 1 years relevant experience in a similar position
  • Able to read and write
  • Basic knowledge of Health & Safety standards
  • Good knowledge of the English language
